Who Am I Writing For?

November 12, 2009

It’s easy to get lost determining if you are writing for an audience, yourself, or who knows who else. I feel this sense of responsibility even though as of right now I have a readership that includes about 7 people (including my mother, thanks mom :) ).

That is the mystery of the blog. You are writing a personal journal for yourself as well as for others to benefit from.

Well, here I am, day 17, and I think I’ve started to make a small amount of progress amoungst a busy life toward focusing my mind in the direction of financial freedom.

Today, I went to the used book store, and I bought a whole bunch of books from Rich Dad to Suzie Orman, to a book about the psychology of wealth.

I’ve got a lot of reading to do.

I’m also going to be attending a seminar at the credit union that I work at next week called “Mainstream Millionaire.” Some in person learning will be beneficial. Two weeks from now, I’m planning to attend an investing seminar from the Rich Dad company.

The tricky part after all this knowledge gathering will be determining what advice to follow and when.

At the end of the day, I’m writing this blog mainly to keep myself on track. (I’d love it if others would help and or benefit from what I learn of course!)

It truly does take a lot of dedication to remember to check in daily and make time every day to learn and to further your knowledge.

I’d love your input. Thanks.

I've started listening to financial audiobooks on my commute. It has helped me a lot.
